Description

Svea Rike is a game of strategy and skill where 2 to 5 players take on the roles of noble families in 16th to 19th century Sweden, vying to build status and prestige. The game is easy to learn, but with a playtime of 90 to 120 minutes, it's clear that there's depth and complexity to be found. As players accumulate fiefs, money, and history cards, they'll need to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by a multitude of event cards. These event cards drive the game forward, allowing players to aid themselves or hinder their opponents in a variety of ways. With a focus on area majority, influence, and set collection, Svea Rike challenges players to balance short-term gains with long-term goals, all in the pursuit of becoming the most esteemed noble family in Sweden. Designed by Dan Glimne and first published in 1996, this game offers a unique and engaging experience for fans of civilization and economic games.
