Description

In Buried Beneath, you play as a retired adventurer who must defend a peaceful mountain town from an ancient horror and invading monsters. Your days of relaxation are over, as you must now use your skills to protect the villagers and the town. The game is a solo experience, lasting around 30 to 60 minutes, where you'll place villager meeples at various locations to gain stat points, perform actions, and rally the villagers to defend against the monsters. As the monsters advance towards the village center, you'll need to carefully choose where to place your villagers to maximize your chances of survival. After defending against four waves of monsters, the ancient horror will emerge, and you'll face off in a final battle. To win, you must defeat the horror, but if your hero is defeated, all villagers flee, or too many monsters reach the village center, you'll lose. With its modular board, movement points, and variable player powers, Buried Beneath offers a thrilling and challenging experience for fans of fantasy and medieval-themed games.
