Description
In the medieval-themed board game Jester, 2 to 4 players take on the role of aspiring artists vying for the prestigious position of Jester. Designed by Marcos Macri and published in 2015, this game offers a fun and strategic experience that can be learned easily by those familiar with board games. Over the course of 45 to 90 minutes, players navigate the game board, visiting different areas such as the city, theater, guilds, and court, to perform various actions that will help them gain fame, money, and prestige. As players hire teachers to improve their skills, present publications to earn money and fame, and manipulate royalty to gain influence, they must carefully plan their strategy to maximize their victory points. The game is divided into three rounds, with each round ending when a player visits the same place for the third time, triggering the King's special favors and the conversion of prestige into resources and points. With its engaging game mechanics, including area majority, hand management, and set collection, Jester offers a thrilling experience that challenges players to balance their actions and make tactical decisions to emerge as the new Jester and win the game.
