Description

Antike II is a strategy game where 3 to 6 players take on the role of ancient civilizations, competing to create cities, build temples, and discover new technologies. The game is all about thoughtful planning and skillful diplomacy, with no luck of the draw to rely on. Players must navigate the seas, open new settlements, and defend their people against enemy attacks, all while trying to win over influential figures like ancient kings, scholars, and generals. In this 90 to 120 minute game, players have more control than ever, with the ability to choose which resources their cities produce and a new card, BELLONA, to counter the starting player's advantage. With two new maps and easier rules for conquering cities, Antike II offers a fresh take on the original 2005 game, designed by Mac Gerdts. The goal is to be the first nation to acquire a set number of ancient personalities, but with multiple paths to victory, players must balance competition and cooperation to emerge victorious.
