Description
In the year 1666, the struggle for power in Europe is at its peak, and it's not just the nobles who are vying for control. In the shadows, swashbucklers, musketeers, and thugs are waging a secret war on behalf of their powerful superiors. Anno Domini 1666 is a tactical adventure game that drops you into the midst of this turmoil, where you'll lead your band of fighters through the streets and alleys of 17th-century Vienna. With a grid overlay on the board, you'll use a combination of strategy and luck to outmaneuver your opponent, achieving specific goals defined by the scenario, whether it's defeating your enemy in combat, stealing a valuable object, or breaking out a hostage. As you build your band, you'll have the chance to recruit from a variety of factions, including the Poles, French, Ottomans, and even the sinister Broken Cross sect. You'll also be able to enlist the help of Vienna locals, from thugs and urchins to merchants and famous mercenaries. With a unique blend of historical and fantastical elements, Anno Domini 1666 offers a thrilling experience that's full of surprises. The game's normal complexity makes it easy to learn for fans of board games, and with playtime ranging from 60 to 120 minutes, you can expect a deeply immersive experience. Whether you're a fan of adventure, fantasy, or just great gameplay, Anno Domini 1666 has something to offer, with its high-quality miniatures, custom card decks, and multiple maps and scenarios.
