Description

Cairo Corridor is a clever and strategic tile placement game designed by Markus Hagenauer, where two players compete to outmaneuver each other in a battle of wits. The game is set on a unique board featuring a Cairo pentagonal tiling, where players take turns placing their red and black pentagonal pieces. As the game unfolds, the board transforms, and the goal becomes clear: to create a path of empty spaces that connects all four sides of the board. The twist is that players score points based on how many tiles are adjacent to this path, adding a layer of complexity and strategy to the game. With easy-to-learn rules and a playtime of just 20 minutes, Cairo Corridor is the perfect game for a quick yet engaging gaming session. The game's abstract strategy and tile placement mechanics make it a great fit for fans of strategic gameplay. As players navigate the board, they must balance short-term goals with long-term plans, all while trying to outmaneuver their opponent. With its simple yet challenging gameplay, Cairo Corridor is a great addition to any board game collection, offering a fun and competitive experience for two players. Published in 2013, this base game has been delighting players with its unique blend of area majority, network and route building, and tile placement mechanics.
