Description

In Faiyum, you take on the role of an advisor to the pharaoh, tasked with harvesting goods, building roads, and founding settlements in ancient Egypt. The game is set in the oasis-like basin of Faiyum, where you must strategically plan and manage your resources to gain the respect of the pharaoh. With a playtime of 110 to 140 minutes, Faiyum is a game of normal complexity, making it accessible to board game enthusiasts. As you play, you'll build a deck of cards that will help you achieve your goals, using a mechanism reminiscent of deck builders. You'll also use the structures built on the game board to your advantage, creating a network of roads, farms, and other buildings that will increase your reputation. With support for 1 to 5 players, Faiyum is a great game for solo players or groups of friends, offering a challenging and rewarding experience that will keep you coming back for more.
