Description

In 58 BC, Gaul was a land divided, with competing Celts inviting mercenary Germans and the ambitious Roman governor Julius Caesar into their territory as protectors. It's here that Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar – Ariovistus picks up the story, taking 1 to 4 players back to Caesar's first foray into Gaul. The game introduces a new faction, the Germanic Tribes, and with them, a fresh set of strategic dynamics that will challenge even veteran players of the original Falling Sky. As the Germanic Tribes launch their bid for dominion, players will need to navigate the complex web of alliances and rivalries between the Celts, Romans, and other factions vying for control of the region. With its intricate gameplay and variable phase order, Ariovistus is not a game for the faint of heart - the rules can be complicated and take some time to learn. However, for those willing to dive in, the game offers a rich and immersive experience that spans nearly a decade of resistance and revolt in Gaul. The expansion includes new components, such as embossed wooden pieces and deluxe player mats, which add to the game's tactile appeal. Whether you're a fan of the COIN Series or just looking for a challenging and engaging game, Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar – Ariovistus is definitely worth checking out, although be sure to have a copy of the original Falling Sky on hand, as it's necessary to play.
