Description
In Last Frontier: The Artifact, 3 to 8 players are dropped into a space opera where everyone's got secrets and not everyone is what they seem. Set in a space warehouse on the edge of the galaxy, the game is a complex web of motives and alliances, where the mad scientist in charge is trying to sell a valuable alien navigational buoy to space pirates without getting caught by the Phone Company. But the Phone Company's got its own agenda, and their agents on board may be working for a rival museum, the government, or some other mysterious employer. As players take on roles like the Mad Scientist, Space Pirate Captain, or a mysterious Alien, they've got to navigate a minefield of hidden identities and uncertain allegiances. The Pirate Captain's got to get his hands on the Artifact by any means necessary, but he's got to watch his back - one of his own men might be a government informant, and the Artifact itself might not be what it seems. Meanwhile, the ship's computer might be working its own angle, and the security system, robots, and self-destruct countdown could all be controlled by unknown forces. It's a game of deduction and negotiation, where players have to use their wits and their cunning to outmaneuver each other and achieve their goals. With a playtime of around 120 minutes, Last Frontier: The Artifact is a game that's not for the faint of heart - the rules can be complicated, and it takes some time to learn. But the payoff is worth it: this is a game that's full of surprises and mayhem, where no two games are ever alike. With dice rolling, grid movement, and simultaneous action selection all coming into play, it's a thrill ride from start to finish. So buckle up, because in Last Frontier: The Artifact, anything can happen - sabotage, sneak suits, bluster, kamikaze aliens, and plasma guns are all just part of the package. Will you be the one to come out on top, or will you be left floating in the void?
