Description

Mutation is a fast-paced and strategic game for 2 to 4 players that's all about outgrowing your opponents. Designed by Jonathan Cox and published in 2010, this abstract strategy game is easy to learn but challenging to master. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, you'll be rolling dice and placing tiles in no time. The goal is to mutate and grow your strain of bacteria in a petri dish, trying to become the biggest and most dominant. Each turn, you'll roll two dice and then place one of them on the board, deciding whether to extend your strain, break apart an opponent's, or focus on strengthening your position. With area majority and influence mechanics at play, every turn presents interesting and strategic decisions. Do you risk expanding into a contested area or play it safe and focus on building your strength? The game is over in 30 minutes or less, making it a great option for a quick game night or a fun break from more complex games. With its unique blend of dice rolling, tile placement, and strategic decision-making, Mutation is a game that will keep you coming back for more.
