Description
The Sands of Time is a civilization-building game where 2 to 5 players take on the role of rulers in the ancient world, aiming to leave a lasting legacy. Set in classical antiquity, the game is played on a board inspired by a Roman-era map, where players must balance competition and peaceful interaction with their neighbors to build a thriving empire. Each turn, players select action cards to address various aspects of their empire, such as building structures, implementing advances, and managing unrest. As players navigate the game, they must manage resources, unrest, and their reputation to score Chronicle cards, which represent claims of great accomplishments. With a playtime of 120 to 180 minutes, The Sands of Time is a complex and engaging game that challenges players to strike the right balance to propel their civilizations into empires worthy of historical attention.
