Description
In The Scarlet Pimpernel, you'll join the league of followers helping the legendary hero rescue the innocent from the Reign of Terror in 1793 France. As a member of the league, you'll work together with other players to accomplish seven missions, including rescuing the young Dauphin, heir to the French throne. You'll secure routes and locations, gather resources, and fill mission spaces by placing cubes on the board to score points. With normal complexity rules, 2 to 6 players can enjoy this game, which takes around 60 to 90 minutes to play. Designed by Brian Kelley, The Scarlet Pimpernel combines area majority, area movement, and worker placement mechanics, making each mission unique and challenging. As you complete missions, you'll compete to become the Scarlet Pimpernel's most trusted advisor, with the player earning the most points declared the winner after the seventh mission.
