Description

In King of the Valley, you're vying to become the most revered leader in a medieval valley, guiding its inhabitants and outmaneuvering your opponents. This game, designed by Hans van Tol and published in 2021, is easy to learn and plays out over 40 to 60 minutes with 2 to 4 players. As you navigate the modular board, you'll collect character tiles, each with its own influence and abilities, to build your reputation and earn the trust of the valley's inhabitants. Your goal is to acquire the highest reputation by accumulating influence, bonuses, and gold. With a mix of grid movement, tile placement, and set collection, every turn offers new opportunities to strategically outmaneuver your opponents and claim the crown. Will you focus on collecting knights, pairing farmers with their wives, or leveraging the unique abilities of specialist characters like the priest, wizard, and tax collector? The path to becoming the King of the Valley is full of challenges and surprises, but only the most cunning and strategic leader will reign supreme.
