Description

Caliphate is a game of epic proportions, spanning centuries of Islamic civilization from the 7th to the 12th centuries. In this immersive experience, 3 to 6 players take on the roles of rival Emirates vying for control after the death of Muhammed. Each player controls a territory on the map, commanding army units to battle for dominance and expand their emirate's reach. As players navigate the complex web of conquest, trade, and diplomacy, they must balance economic, cultural, and military pursuits to build a thriving emirate. With a playtime of 360 minutes, Caliphate is a game that requires strategy, patience, and a willingness to learn its intricate rules. Designed by Lajos Brons and first published in 2007, this game is a true test of skill and endurance. Players must manage resources, trade surplus goods, and collect taxes to maintain their armies and invest in infrastructure improvements. As they explore the medieval Arabian world, they will encounter a rich tapestry of economic, cultural, and military challenges that will push their abilities to the limit. With its unique blend of area movement, simulation, and trading mechanics, Caliphate offers a captivating experience that will keep players engaged for hours on end.
