Description
In The Road to Canterbury, you take on the role of a medieval pardoner, selling certificates to deliver sinners from the eternal penalties of the Seven Deadly Sins. Your goal is to peddle these counterfeit pardons to Pilgrims traveling to Canterbury, exploiting their greed, pride, gluttony, and other vices for financial gain. The Pilgrims, including characters like the Knight, Friar, and Wife of Bath, all have their own stories and weaknesses, making them ripe targets for your pardoning services. To succeed, you'll need to lead the Pilgrims into temptation and keep your services in demand, all while avoiding the ultimate deadline: Death. With each sin committed, Death draws nearer, and a dead Pilgrim pays no pardoner. Outwit your opponents and pardon more sins before the Pilgrims die or finish their pilgrimage to emerge victorious in this humorous and strategic game of Area Majority, Hand Management, and Card Drafting.
