Description
In King's Cottage, you and your friends are the King's trusted advisers, tasked with building and furnishing a beautiful cottage by the river. This isn't just a matter of following the King's orders, though - each of you has your own investments in the local craft houses, and you're looking to turn a profit. As you place tiles to construct the cottage, you'll also be trying to furnish it with the most expensive pieces that will benefit your own investments. It's a delicate balance between pleasing the King and padding your own pockets. With 2 to 4 players competing over 30 minutes, King's Cottage is a game of abstract strategy and city building that requires a mix of short-term tactics and long-term planning. The rules are straightforward enough for experienced board game players to pick up quickly, but the variable player powers and tile placement mechanics add a layer of complexity that will keep you on your toes. Designed by Jonathan Dietrich and first published in 2003, King's Cottage is a classic game that still holds up today, offering a fun and challenging experience for anyone who enjoys strategic gameplay and a bit of friendly competition.
