Description
Joraku is a medieval-themed card game where 3 to 4 players take on the role of local warlords, known as Daimyo, vying for control of Japan. The game is easy to learn, but don't be fooled - it requires tactical card play and strategic thinking to outwit your opponents. As you march your army towards Kyoto, you'll need to use your loyal Samurais to bid control of areas and build prestige. The game is played over three rounds, with each round consisting of a recruit phase, skirmish phase, and prestige phase. Players draw cards, pass them to their opponents, and then play them to resolve skirmishes and gain influence over different areas. The player with the highest reputation points at the end of the three rounds wins, making Joraku a game of strategic planning and clever card play that can be enjoyed in 30 to 60 minutes.
