Description
Civilization is a game of skill for 2 to 7 players that takes you on a journey through the development of ancient civilizations. You'll lead a nation of people over a map board of the Eastern Mediterranean and Near East, carving out a niche for yourself and your culture. The goal is to achieve overall advancement by balancing cultural, economic, and political factors, rather than just focusing on battles and conquest. As you guide your people through the ages, you'll expand your empire and use its resources to finance new technological advances, such as Literacy, Metalworking, or Law. These advancements will help your civilization cope with problems and unlock new possibilities. With its innovative technology tree mechanism, Civilization has become a classic and influential game that's widely regarded as one of the best games about ancient civilizations.
