Description
Medieval is a card-based board game that takes you back to the turbulent 13th century in Europe, Middle East, and North Africa. In this game, 3 to 5 players represent a conglomerate of powers, using their wits and cards to gain control over areas of Europe. With 110 cards, including map cards, powers, and events, players navigate the complex web of alliances, excommunications, and crusades to emerge victorious. As players vie for dominance, they must also contend with the looming threat of the Mongols, who can arrive at any moment and conquer powers, changing the map and the course of the game. With easy-to-learn rules and a playtime of around 120 minutes, Medieval is a game of negotiation, territory building, and strategy that challenges players to survive the onslaughts of religion and the Mongols to control the largest part of 13th century Europe.
