Description
Lignum is a game about the logging industry in the 19th century where you compete against other woodcutters to collect the most money after two years. As a lover of complex strategy games, you'll enjoy optimizing your entire processing chain, from cutting and transporting wood to trading tools and recruiting workers. The game starts with the cutting of trees, where players claim areas using secretly selected cards, and then move along their supply route, adapting to their opponents' strategies. With 60 to 120 minutes of playtime, 2 to 4 players can engage in this economic game, using action queue and worker placement mechanics to prevail against their competitors. Designed by Alexander Huemer and published in 2015, Lignum requires strategic thinking and planning, making it a fun and challenging experience for those who enjoy complex games.
