Description
In the medieval world of Keythedral, players take on the role of builders gathering resources to construct a grand Keythedral. The game is played over five stages, each requiring different materials, and players must manage their workers to collect the necessary resources from the surrounding fields. Each player starts with five cottages, housing a worker, and on each turn, these workers try to move into adjacent fields to gather resources. As the game progresses, the fields become crowded, and players can fence off areas to keep opponents' workers out, but a clever player can use wine to persuade workers to remove these fences. With its unique blend of auction, bidding, and worker placement mechanics, Keythedral offers a challenging and engaging experience for 2 to 5 players. Designed by Richard Breese, this 2002 game requires strategic planning and adaptability to succeed, making it a fun and rewarding experience for fans of city-building and medieval-themed games.
