Description
Majdan is a game that drops you into the midst of a pivotal moment in Ukraine's history, the Euromaidan protests of 2014. As one of two players, you'll take on the role of a faction vying for control and influence in a country on the brink of change. The rules are easy to learn, but the game itself is full of depth and strategy, with each player trying to gain the upper hand by accumulating victory points. You'll do this by taking control of or gaining support in 25 different districts, each with its own value and challenges. As you navigate the game, you'll use cards to represent different means of influencing the outcome, from mobilizing masses of supporters to leveraging the power of the media. The value of these cards can shift depending on the situation, adding an extra layer of complexity to your decision-making. With only 60 minutes to play, you'll need to think carefully about your actions and make the most of your five actions per round. Will you focus on building support, initiating struggles for control, or trying to make peace with your opponent? The path you choose will determine the fate of Ukraine, and only the player who best navigates the intricacies of Majdan will emerge victorious.
