In Tholos, you're a builder competing against your opponent to achieve the greatest influence in the construction of the ancient temple. This abstract strategy game is designed for two players and can be learned quickly, making it easy to dive into a duel of wits. With a playtime of just 15 to 25 minutes, you can engage in a thrilling competition to outmaneuver your opponent and claim the most influence within the sacred construction. As you take turns, you'll gather stones from the quarry and place them on the game board, leveraging the unique powers of each location to outsmart your opponent. The game is all about area majority and influence, as you strive to have the most stones of your color in each column. But beware - having too many stones can actually work against you, and neutral stones can hurt your score. With the advanced mode, you can add ornament tiles to the game board, introducing new powers and challenges that change the rules of the game.
