Description

Get ready to dive back into the world of Batman: The Animated Series with the Mask of the Phantasm Expansion, a thrilling addition to the Shadow of the Bat base game. This expansion brings a new layer of complexity and excitement to the game, with the introduction of Bruce Wayne as a playable hero and the enigmatic Phantasm, who can be played as either a villain or hero. The Phantasm operates like a wild card, working against both the heroes and the villains, adding an extra level of challenge and unpredictability to each battle. With the ability to play with 1 to 5 players, you can team up with friends or take on the challenge solo, navigating the grid movement and die icon resolution mechanics to outsmart your foes. In the Mask of the Phantasm campaign, you'll embark on a 3-battle mission to stop the villains, all while racing against the shadowy threat of the Phantasm. With a playtime of 60 to 90 minutes, you'll need to stay focused and work together to succeed. The game's cooperative nature and variable player powers mean that each player will have a unique role to play in the battle against evil. While the rules may take some time to learn, the payoff is well worth it, with a deeply immersive and engaging gameplay experience that will keep you coming back for more. Published in 2021 and designed by Pete Walsh and Kevin Wilson, this expansion is a must-have for fans of the Batman: The Animated Series and anyone looking for a thrilling adventure game.
