The Flood

Friends and Communities with The Flood

Description

The Flood is a thrilling cooperative board game that whisks players away to the prehistoric world, where they must work together to build a network of huts and camps, collect resources, and construct the Ark before the flood hits. With its unique blend of dice rolling, resource management, and negotiation mechanics, this game promises to deliver hours of engaging gameplay for 1 to 4 players. Each player has a special Mighty Beast, a hero miniature that can forage for strategic resources, adding a fun and dynamic element to the game. As players navigate the board, comprising 27 hexagons and a trade track, faith points, and market, they'll need to balance building, foraging, and trading resources with each other and the supply. The game's story cards control the weather and yield bonuses, while event cards add an extra layer of excitement and challenge. With playtime ranging from 60 to 120 minutes, The Flood offers a substantial gaming experience that's easy to learn, even for those familiar with board games. Designed by Elijah Morar and Natalie Morar, and published in 2023, this base game is perfect for fans of economic, prehistoric, and religious themes, and promises to deliver a fun and suspenseful experience as players race against time to build the Ark and earn the most faith points.
