Description
In Manila, a speculative contest for 3 to 5 players, the goal is to navigate the high-stakes world of sea route transportation. With four valuable shipments - jade, ginseng, silk, and nutmeg - waiting to be transported to Manila, players must bid to become harbour master and make crucial decisions about which shipments to prioritize. The ultimate fate of the ships is determined by dice rolls, adding an element of unpredictability to the game. As players speculate about the success or failure of each shipment, they can choose to provide insurance or bet on the outcome, all while trying to outmaneuver their opponents. With easy-to-learn rules and a playtime of just 60 minutes, Manila is a fun and engaging game that's perfect for families and groups of friends. Designed by Franz-Benno Delonge and first published in 2005, Manila brings the excitement of the river boats of the Philippines to life in a game of strategy and luck.
