Description
Ventura is a game of nobility and conquest set in 14th century Italy, where 2 to 4 players take control of warring noble houses vying for control of the country's growing wealth. Players must balance their house's earnings and maintain their hired soldiers to keep their family's noble standing, all while navigating a modular board built from randomly drawn hexagonal terrain tiles. As players maneuver their military units and leaders, they must also manage their finances, as everything in the game costs money - from drawing cards to playing them and paying troops. With limited funds, players must decide whether to spend their florins on victory points or defense, all in a bid to outmaneuver their opponents and emerge victorious. With its unique blend of area majority, grid movement, and card drafting mechanics, Ventura offers a challenging and engaging experience that will keep players on the edge of their seats for 90 minutes.
