Description
Napoleon in Italy drops you into the midst of one of history's most famous military campaigns, where you'll take on the role of either the French or Austrian armies, vying for control of the Italian peninsula. Designed by Gary Graber and first published in 2008, this wargame is surprisingly easy to learn, with simple rules that can be explained quickly, making it accessible to new players. As one of the two players, you'll navigate the complexities of 19th-century warfare, using auction and bidding mechanics to outmaneuver your opponent, and point-to-point movement to orchestrate your troops' advances. With a playtime of around 120 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to develop your strategy and outwit your foe, all set against the dramatic backdrop of Napoleon's Italian campaign.
