In Polders, you'll embark on a journey to reclaim land from the sea and build a thriving community. This 2 to 4 player game, which can be explained quickly due to its simple rules, challenges you to drain water, create new land, and settle farms, villages, and cities. With a playtime of just 45 minutes, you'll have to think strategically and make the most of your time to outdo your opponents. As you place tiles and markers, you'll be using a combination of area majority, push your luck, tile placement, variable player powers, and worker placement mechanics to gain the upper hand. As you develop your polders, you'll have the opportunity to build prestige buildings, which can give you additional bonuses and advantages. With roles like the Banker, Mayor, and Merchant, you'll be able to claim these buildings and use them to boost your score. The game is won by the player who best develops their polders and gains the most victory points, which are earned by building farms, villages, and cities, as well as placing merchants and villagers in strategic locations.
