Description
In the ancient Roman city of Augusta Treverorum, players take on the roles of Roman architects working on the iconic city gate, Porta Nigra. Each player commands a master builder who moves around a circular track on the game board, allowing them to buy or build in specific locations. The catch is that moving the master builder to farther locations is expensive, so careful planning is essential. As players navigate the game, they'll erect 3D buildings at various locations around the city, using cards from their personal draw deck to determine the number and type of actions they can take. With its unique blend of area majority, area movement, and card drafting mechanics, Porta Nigra offers a challenging and engaging experience for 2 to 4 players. With a playtime of 75 to 120 minutes, this game is perfect for those who enjoy city building and strategic planning, set in a rich historical context.
