Description
In Maps of Misterra, you and up to three friends embark on an adventure to explore a mystical island, each with your own secret objectives. Your goal is to create an accurate map of the island while completing your personal missions to earn the most points. The game is easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, and with a playtime of 45 to 60 minutes, you can dive into the world of Misterra without a huge time commitment. Designed by Mathieu Bossu, Timothée Decroix, and Thomas Cariate, this 2023 release offers a unique blend of exploration, territory building, and strategy. As you navigate the island, you'll need to balance your individual goals with the need to create a correct cartography of the island. Each turn, you'll choose two actions, such as moving your explorer pawn, discovering new terrains, or claiming control of areas. The twist is that some terrains need to be explored twice to be validated, and if you're wrong the first time, your personal map will no longer match the central board. This mechanic adds a fun layer of uncertainty, keeping you on your toes as you try to find the perfect balance between your objectives and the true layout of the island. With its engaging gameplay and beautiful design, Maps of Misterra is a great choice for anyone looking for a fun and challenging adventure game.
