Description
In the medieval city of Ys, players take on the roles of merchant-princes, competing to accumulate the most gold by collecting precious gems. Each turn, ships filled with jewels arrive in the city's ports, and players must strategically place their team of brokers in the four neighborhoods to gain control and claim the valuable cargo. The neighborhood with the most influence gets first pick of the gems, but players must also navigate the commercial area, palace, and port to gain advantages. With a team of 11 brokers of varying skill levels, players must use bluffing and misdirection to outmaneuver their opponents, making it difficult for them to determine their true intentions. The gem market also plays a crucial role, as players can influence the value of different types of jewels, affecting their opponents' collections. After 90 minutes of strategic gameplay, the player with the most gold, represented by victory points, is declared the winner.
