Description

In Constantinopolis, you take on the role of an ambitious merchant in the 6th century A.D., seeking to become the most successful entrepreneur in the city. The game is set in the largest emporium in the East Roman Empire, where trade and exports are booming. As a merchant, you'll compete against your rivals to earn the most renown by completing contracts and establishing viable trade. With a playtime of 90 minutes and normal complexity rules, Constantinopolis is accessible to board game enthusiasts. The game involves auction and bidding mechanics, as well as commodity speculation, making it a thrilling experience for 2 to 5 players. Designed by Giancarlo Fioretti and published in 2010, Constantinopolis offers a unique blend of city building, economic, and nautical themes, with no necessary in-game text, making it language independent.
